Managing Partner
Robert Dunbar's life and career highlight his principles of learning, a dedication to family, and community service. Hailing from Trumbull, CT, Rob attended Christian Heritage School before pursuing Business Administration and Business Law at Sacred Heart University. He believes in continuing education as he pursues multiple designations, driven by a commitment to provide his clients with the best possible services.
His early experience working alongside his father at Dunbar Associates, initially a business and municipal management corporation, laid the foundation for his understanding of business operations and the importance of proper financial planning.
As Dunbar Associates transitioned into a financial services firm, Rob recognized the need for sound retirement planning, particularly during times of corporate transition. He wanted to help individuals retire on their own terms, which led him to serve on numerous boards, including Masonicare, McGivney Community Center, and St. Vincent’s Health System and currently on the board of Sacred Heart University and St. Vincent’s School of Nursing.
Rob’s holistic approach to retirement planning and genuine care for his clients underscore his commitment to helping others achieve financial security and peace of mind.
When not working, Rob enjoys playing golf and traveling with his family. His wife, Michele, and their three children have explored different Caribbean destinations and indulge in frequent visits to Disney.
